Police agencies play vital role in maximizing care at Youngstown hospital

In observance of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Jan. 9, we at Steward Health Care want to recognize the bravery, courage, honor and integrity of our nation’s law enforcement officers. These brave men and women who protect and serve our communities need to be appreciated not just today, but every day.

We witness the hard work of these brave men and women daily. The Youngstown Police Department, Mahoning County Sherriff’s Department and all of the surrounding police departments play a vital role in the care we provide to our patients, especially in the Emergency Department.

Our hospital truly appreciates and cherishes the relationships we have with all of the local law-enforcement agencies.

Thank you to all of the police officers for putting your life on the line for us. We can’t begin to imagine the difficulty of your duty. What we can do is express our gratitude and say thank you for a job well done. We stand with you not just today, but every day.

Kudos to The Vindicator for publishing Scriptures

In this time of politi- cal correctness gone amok, I must give credit to the owner and editors of The Vindicator.

It is a pleasure and uplifting to read the Scriptures on the Editorial Page every day and the biblical story of the Nativity on Christmas Day.

It’s encouraging and helpful for the future of the Youngstown area and our country to have that published. I know of no other city newspaper in America that has the courage to print it.

We are blessed and fortunate to still have a daily newspaper that’s not afraid to print Christian beliefs. Christianity is how and why our Founding Fathers formed America.
