SENIOR CITIZENS
Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. March 5 at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure will be taken from noon to 12:45 p.m. Sherry Goddard, a Canfield resident and organist at Canfield Presbyterian Church, will give a talk on her Barbie doll collection. There will be a bus trip to see “Celtic Women Homecoming” at Cleveland State Theater on April 19. Included will be a dinner at Harry’s Steak House with a choice of four main entrees. An overnight trip is planned to Erie, Pa., and Presque Isle State Park on June 26 and 27, and in August, a mystery trip is planned. For information and reservations, call Barb at 330-757-0780. Freetimers will host its monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s on Route 62 in Cornersburg. All Youngstown State University retirees are invited to eat and socialize.
Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at the Lowellville City Hall conference room. Brenda Perry, president, will preside. Annual dues of $10 will be collected. For reservations, call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. New members are welcome. Membership does not require Lowellville residency. Any illnesses or deaths among members should be reported to Mary Mascarella, sunshine chairwoman, at 330-536-8748 or Paula Kacir at 330-536-6642. Bingo and a 50-50 raffle also will take place. If Lowellville schools are closed due to the weather, the meeting will be canceled.
