Shooting for a new reality show titled “Flea Market Fanatics” will begin next month at Rogers Community Auction and Sale.

Co-hosted by Steve Kreider and Jess Faulstich, the series is being directed by Steve Swanson and is being filmed by Cinemanix of Youngstown.

Six episodes will be shot around Memorial Day at the massive flea market in Columbiana County.

Swanson said the series will be shopped to networks, cable channels and online distributors. He also plans to build a web channel to host the show that will be supported by advertising.

Casting will begin March 16.

“We are doing an ‘Idol’ type casting call for all things flea market,” said Swanson, a Youngstown-based comedian, comic writer and filmmaker. “We are looking for pickers and flippers, antiquers, shoppers, vendors and everything in between... The show is about the people of Rogers and their stuff.”

Those who would like to be on the show are asked to contact the producers by sending an email to HTCastingCall@gmail.com. Include full name, full phone number, and age (if under 18, permission from a parent or legal guardian is required).

Persons being sought include those who might be looking for a missing piece for a collection or those who just want to tell a story about their finds at the flea market.

Kreider, CEO of Hollywood Top Productions, is a native of northwest Pennsylvania who retired from the Army in 2013 after serving 25 years. He has since worked as a producer on “Duck Dynasty,” and with Ricky Schroder Productions on the Army reality show “Starting Strong.” He also consulted on the feature film “Pitch Perfect 3.”

Kreider said he looks forward to showcasing the people of the area.

“We think there are so many interesting stories that can be told at Rogers Flea Market,” said Kreider. “Most people want to watch shows that they can relate too and see what ‘real America’ is like. I think you’ll get that and more when you watch ‘Flea Market Fanatics’.”

Faulstich, a Cleveland comedian, will give the show a fun and upbeat humorous tone.

Hollywood Top Productions and Rogers Community Auction Inc. are co-producing “Flea Market Fanatics.” Swanson is the executive producer.
