Free piano recital by Dana students

YOUNGSTOWN

Piano students at the Dana School of Music will give a recital at 3 p.m. Saturday in Bliss Recital Hall, lower level of Bliss Hall. Admission is free.

The students are Cody Tonkinson, Salem; Katie Fernstrom, Canfield; Andrew Gurdak, Cortland; Rosemary Bresson, Canfield; Victoria Buskirk, Kinsman; Marleen Ocheltree, Kinsman; Carvell Austin, Youngstown; and Jason Volovar, Poland.

Bone Thugs concert at Powers canceled

Saturday’s concert by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, with Trina and the Ying Yang Twins, at Powers Auditorium has been canceled.

Ticket holders who purchased by credit card must call the box office at 330-744-0264. Those who paid cash can get a refund in person at the box office, 260 W. Federal St., downtown.

‘Face the Nation’ names anchor

NEW YORK

CBS News has named Margaret Brennan as moderator of the Sunday morning political talk show “Face the Nation,” replacing John Dickerson.

Brennan has been one of the substitute moderators, along with Nancy Cordes and Major Garrett, since Dickerson left the Washington-based show to join “CBS This Morning.” CBS News President David Rhodes announced the appointment Thursday. Brennan officially takes over this Sunday.

She’s the White House and senior foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News, and interviewed Secretary of State Rex Tillerson for “60 Minutes” this past weekend. Brennan will leave the White House but continue reporting on foreign affairs for the network.

She worked at Bloomberg News and CNBC before joining CBS in 2012.
