Jennifer Backes, Daniel Pirigyi are engaged

Michael and Judith Backes of Hubbard and Victoria Pirigyi of Mineral Ridge are announcing the engagement of their children, Jennifer Backes of Austintown to Daniel Pirigyi of Mineral Ridge.

Invitations will be extended for the couple’s wedding to take place July 7 at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell and for a reception to take place at the Avalon Inn and Resort in Warren.

The bride-elect graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in administration from Concordia University. She is a fifth-grade teacher for the Brookfield Local School District.

The prospective groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. He is a commercialization manager at the corporate office of Shearer’s Snacks in Massillon.
