Canfield bands to host annual pasta dinner

The Canfield Band Parents, Inc. will be hosting their annual Pasta Dinner and Chinese Auction on Feb. 24 in the Canfield High School Cafeteria from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The cost of admission is $6, which includes a home cooked pasta dinner complete with salad, bread, beverage and dessert (takeout is available) and entry into the one the best Chinese auctions around.

The Canfield band program (grades 5-12) will be featured in performances throughout the day.

All six bands have been working on their selections since the beginning of the new year and look forward to showcasing their talents to a packed house of hungry and enthusiastic audiences of family and friends.

The bands featured will be the high school concert band (11:30 a.m.), high school symphonic band (12:15 p.m.), eighth-grade band (1:30 p.m.), seventh-grade band (2:30 p.m.), sixth-grade band (3:30 p.m.), fifth-grade band (4:30 p.m.) and high school saxophone quartet (5:30 p.m.).

This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Canfield bands. The dinner is chaired by Cathy Miasek and the auction chaired by Steve Hlaudy with more than 100 band students, directors, family members and friends volunteering to help make the event a success.

The Canfield bands would like to thank all of the individuals, companies and organizations in the community who support and help make this annual fundraiser not only possible a success.
