Playhouse to present ‘Moon Over Buffalo’

NEW CASTLE, PA.

“Moon Over Buffalo” will open Friday at New Castle Playhouse, 202 E. Long Ave., and run for seven performances over two- consecutive weekends.

The comedy, written by Ken Ludwig, is set in 1953. It looks in on two traveling actors, who are married, during a stint at a theater in Buffalo, N.Y., that will be visited by famed filmmaker Frank Capra. The wife has dreams of being a film star, while the husband is satisfied with the stage.

The New Castle production is being directed by Lester Malizia.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and March 1, 2 and 3; and 2 p.m. Sunday and March 4.
