Man pleads guilty

Jimmie R. Stella Jr., who was sentenced to 11 years in prison Jan. 24 for firing a gun into a house on Bane Street in Warren Township in October 2016, pleaded guilty Wednesday to several charges in a separate case.

Stella, 38, of Seventh Street Southwest, pleaded guilty to felonious assault, two counts of kidnapping, being a felon in possession of a firearm and domestic violence in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

The charges relate to to an assault on his pregnant wife Feb. 22, 2017. The guilty pleas did not add any more prison time to the sentence he received for the shooting death.
