Award-winning organist at Stambaugh

Acclaimed organist Daryl Robinson will give a concert on April 8 at 4 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Robinson won both first prize and the audience prize at the 2012 American Guild of Organists National Competition. He maintains an active career as a teacher, collaborative artist, church musician and recitalist. He has performed at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, Kennedy Center and the Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

Robinson was appointed assistant professor and director of organ studies at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music last year and joined the ministry staff of Christ Church Cathedral (Episcopal) as organist.

In 2016, Robinson served as organist-in-residence for the Choral Institute at the University of Oxford in England.
