Arrested after chase

WARREN

A 22-year-old city man was arraigned Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court on charges of fleeing from police, tampering with evidence and drug possession after he was arrested Tuesday after a chase.

Not-guilty pleas were entered for Shawndon Flowers, 22, of Fairfield Street Northeast. He is in the Trumbull County jail without eligibility to make bond.

Agents with the Trumbull Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force observed a vehicle driven by Flowers approach a male on a bicycle on Niles Road Southeast in what appeared to be a drug deal, according to a TAG news release.

Agents tried to stop Flowers, but he fled in the car and then on foot in the area of Thomas Road and Brier Street Southeast and was arrested.

Agents recovered suspected crack cocaine, suspected heroin, two unknown pills, the drug Suboxone, suspected marijuana and $286 in cash.
