Named to YSU board

YOUNGSTOWN

Gov. John Kasich named Michael A. Peterson of Massillon, director of Global Investigations and Security Services for Goodyear, to the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees.

Peterson, whose nine-year term runs through 2025, replaces Sam Grooms. Grooms submitted his resignation earlier this year, saying he and his wife have assumed official residence in Florida. State law requires trustees to live in Ohio.

Peterson, who earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from YSU and played on the football team, has nearly three decades of experience in security consulting, human resources and investigative services.
