Professor to speak at history conference


YOUNGSTOWN

Dr. Leonne Hudson, associate professor of history and faculty adviser to Phi Alpha Theta at Kent State University, will speak at the Ohio History Connection’s Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, 151 W. Wood St., as part of Youngstown State University’s V.W. Starr History Across the Humanities conference at 4 p.m. Thursday. His talk is titled, “The Reaction of African-Americans to Lincoln’s Assassination” and is based on his current research. The HATH conference is a two-day event sponsored by YSU’s Alpha Gamma Beta chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
