Medical Alliance will host brunch and fashion show

The Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance will host its 14th annual Champagne Brunch and Fashion Show at 10 a.m. March 9 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave. All proceeds will benefit the Rape Crisis & Counseling Center and The Walnut Grove/A Field of Opportunity.

The event will begin with a social and raffle followed by brunch that will include Lenten selections. Chelsea Spears, an anchor from WKBN, will emcee.

Cost is $40 per person or $60 for a grand patron. To reserve tickets, call the Mahoning County Medical Society by Friday at 330-533-4880. Event sponsor is Mercy Health, St. Elizabeth Boardman Medical Staff. Additional sponsors and levels are: Chantilly Lace level: Denise and John York of The DeBartolo Corp.; N.E.O. Society members are selling grand raffle tickets at $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20. Winners need not be present to win. Grand raffle prizes include a Disney package valued over $500, a Fairchild Baldwin necklace from Ivory & Birch and a Mariana jewelry set from Aebischer’s Jewelers. Collections for Diva Donations, a formal clothing closet also will be taken at the event.

Arrangements for the fundraiser are being made by co-chairwomen Tammy Engle and Paula Jakubek and committee members Susan Berny, Cassi Calderon, Jenna Cicchillo, Theresa Devine, Mary Dulay, Shelley Duffett, Karyn Frederick, Donna Hayat, Diana McDonald, Christina Memo, Rose Mary Memo, Tricia Potesta, Katie Reynolds, Elizabeth Roller, Carol Sankovic, Amanda Watanakunakorn and Susan Yarab.

The Alliance is a volunteer organization comprised of physicians’ spouses who provide support to the community through health education, legislation, community service and fundraising.
