HUBBARD

Feb. 13

Recovered property: A wallet with no apparent identification was found on sidewalk in the 100 block of Hager Street.

Domestic violence: Michael A. Wells, 26, of Taylor Street, Hubbard, faced domestic-violence and simple-assault charges after his roommate alleged Wells had punched his face, knocked the accuser’s head to the ground and dragged him across the floor. The victim’s face was covered with scrapes and scratches, a report showed.

Feb. 15

Criminal damaging/menacing: A Pulaski, Pa., man alleged a Brookfield man, 26, broke the accuser’s driver’s-side window and threatened him while they were at the victim’s former girlfriend’s West Liberty Street residence.

GIRARD

Feb. 11

Identity fraud: An Elruth Court woman found out her identity had been used without authorization to file an income-tax form.

Harassment: An East Second Street man alleged his sister-in-law had threatened to kill him.

Drugs: A traffic stop near East Prospect Street led to a drug-abuse charge against a 17-year-old Hubbard boy when, police alleged, he handed them a cigar that contained suspected marijuana.

Vandalism: Officers responded to an alarm at a West Liberty Street consignment store, where they reportedly found a shattered rear window.

Feb. 12

Menacing: A Girard man told police a man and a woman sent him threatening communications that purportedly included an online photograph of what appeared to be an assault rifle, along with a cryptic threat, after the man reportedly had stolen money from the accuser.

Arrest: After pulling him over near North State and East Kline streets, authorities took Brian P. Neill, 37, into custody. Neill, of Halls Heights Avenue, Youngstown, was wanted on a Coshocton County, Ohio, warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Feb. 13

Employee theft: The owner of a Trumbull Avenue convenience store alleged a worker had stolen an undisclosed sum of money over several days.

Theft by deception: A man who moved to Texas from his former Cheyenne Avenue home reported $4,350 worth of property has never been delivered to his current address.

Feb. 14

Drugs: Officers on U.S. Route 422 pulled over then handed a minor misdemeanor citation to Ediberto O. Diaz, 20, of Glenaven Avenue, Youngstown, after alleging having found a cigar with suspected marijuana in Diaz’s car.

Menacing: An Elruth Court man alleged a cousin had threatened to beat him up regarding the cousin’s girlfriend.

Criminal mischief: Police received a complaint that someone in the 20 block of Hancock Street removed aluminum siding from a trash bin, then destroyed the material.

Theft: A woman discovered a $100 mountain bike missing from her North Highland Avenue home.

Trespassing: A South Davis Street man reported two suspicious people were on his property and porch.

Feb. 15

Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to enter a garage in the 300 block of Plymouth Avenue before the homeowner reportedly noticed damage to a shelving unit in front of a boarded-up window.

Assault: A woman alleged a man slammed a door on her arm after she went to his Church Hill Road residence to retrieve an iPhone his sister had borrowed.

Feb. 16

Robbery: A man told police a gunman and a woman, both in their early 20s and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, approached his vehicle after he had stopped on East Wilson Avenue and demanded money and the victim’s coat. The robbers took two hearing aids, $47 and other contents, then fled on foot, a report stated.

LIBERTY

Feb. 11

Arrests: A traffic stop in the 4400 block of Belmont Avenue resulted in charges of falsification and obstructing official business against Eric C. Moore, 26, of Columbus, and Jevon A. Baltimore, 28, of Canal Winchester, Ohio. Baltimore gave police his brother’s name; also, Moore lied about Baltimore’s identity, a report stated.

Citations: Police responded to a disturbance with a large number of people in the 3100 block of Belmont Avenue before citing Adham N. Aburahma, 23, of Trumbull Avenue, Liberty, and Ronnie N. Hamayel, 26, of Ridgewood Road, Youngstown, on charges of disorderly conduct, related to the fight. Aburahma also was charged with resisting arrest when, authorities said, he attempted to flee from them on foot.

Feb. 12

Drugs: Police responded to suspicious activity at a Belmont Avenue motel, where they arrested Trinette T. Campbell, 43, on charges of possessing drug-abuse instruments and obstructing official business after alleging the Washington, D.C., woman had in her purse several used syringes and a scouring pad sometimes used in drug activity. Campbell also provided a false name, a report said.

Identity fraud: A Trumbull Avenue man learned that someone without consent had filed an income-tax return with his personal information.

Feb. 13

Misuse of a credit card: A representative with a Belmont Avenue transportation business alleged a worker used a company-owned gasoline credit card for his personal use over a six-week period while racking up $2,183 worth of unauthorized charges.

Feb. 14

Arrest: Officers were dispatched to the Mahoning County jail to pick up Danaryll W. Green, 21, of Holly Drive, Girard. He was wanted on a probation-violation warrant.

Aggravated menacing: A Scott Lane woman alleged a neighbor continually harasses and makes threats of bodily harm against her.

Assault: A 13-year-old patient with Belmont Pines Hospital, 615 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, alleged her roommate threw her to the floor and struck her repeatedly in the head, then once in the nose.

Feb. 15

Domestic violence: Curtis D. Presley, 27, of Alameda Avenue, Youngstown, faced domestic-violence and disorderly-conduct charges after officers responded to a fight in a Goldie Road parking lot, where a man reported having been punched several times in the face. The victim, who was covered in blood and was found next to his vehicle, may have suffered a broken nose, a report showed.

Fraud: A Holly Drive woman reported six unauthorized withdrawals from her savings account that totaled about $3,000.

Theft: Charges were pending against two men, 37 and 56, after $78 worth of steaks was stolen from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Bad check: The owner of Auto Pros, 4506 Belmont Ave., reported a Girard woman issued him a $192 check to help pay the balance of a bill for an engine replacement before discovering the check had been written on a closed account.

Feb. 16

Drugs: After pulling him over near state Route 711, officers charged Derek A. Bell II of Haymaker Street, Youngstown, with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bell, 22, admitted having suspected marijuana in the back seat, police alleged.

Theft of services: A woman alleged her mother and a relative had the electricity on in the accuser’s Trumbull Court home without her permission.
