Francesca Kosec and Matthew Schiavone, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage during a ceremony that took place May 27, 2017, at St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh and was officiated by the Rev. Sean Hogan. A reception took place afterward in the Music Hall Foyer at the Carnegie Museum of Art.

The parents of the bride are Alicia and David Kosec of Boardman.

The groom is a son of Marcella and Joseph Schiavone of Greensburg, Pa.

The bride wore a form-fitted boat-neck gown that was nude-colored silk with an ivory Chantilly lace overlay. It featured bell sleeves with scallop details and was complemented by a cathedral-length veil.

Gia Kosec, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Talia Schiavone, sister-in-law of the groom; Ava Calabrese, cousin of the bride; Julie Friend; Lauren Rumbaugh; Hannah Roth; Maggie Reilly; and Megan Musial. Addison Marquis, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl.

The attendant’s wore ivory gowns.

Best man was Justin Schiavone, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Edward and Anthony Kosec, brothers of the bride; Anthony Calabrese, cousin of the bride; Michael Guthrie; Pete Elers; Drew Pennline; and Benjamin Suchko. Max Pirain, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Mrs. Schiavone graduated from Duquesne University and Duquesne School of Law with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a juris doctorate. She is a transactional corporate and real-estate attorney with Leech, Tishman, Fuscaldo & Lampl in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Schiavone graduated from Washington & Jefferson College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant for Hill, Barth & King LLC in Pittsburgh.

The couple honeymooned in Rome and Positano, Italy, and reside in Pittsburgh.
