Boardman Civic Association will honor civic stars Thursday at the annual community awards dinner at the Lariccia Family Community Center in Boardman Park. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.
Winners this year are: business person of the year, Rob Fellman, Boardman Subaru; community service award, Bill and Karen Veri; citizen of the year, Jack Nichols, retired Boardman Police chief; best new building award, Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley Campus; and best remodel/renovation award, High Octane Coffee.
To make reservations, go to BoardmanCivic.com or email MHarris1421@yahoo.com by Friday. The cost is $15. Include your phone number and you will receive a call to confirm your reservation. Cash, check or credit cards will be accepted at the door. BCA members must make reservations for dinner, but the cost is included in their dues.
