Coach investigation

Columbiana School District is investigating claims regarding the girls head basketball coach. The claims were made by a parent after Monday night’s game.

Superintendent Donald Mook said there is an investigation because students are involved, but he cannot comment any further.

Mook said the district will be driven by the facts as the investigation moves forward. “Make no mistake, Columbiana Exempted Village Schools takes the safety, security and well-being of its students seriously,” said Mook. “The district wants students and staff to succeed, and learn in a civil and respectful environment.”
