Man charged in assault

Robert H. Parker, 61, of Burton Street Southeast, was charged Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court with felonious assault after his stepdaughter accused him of slamming her to the floor, trying to cut her neck, trying to choke her and pulling out her feeding tube. The woman said her mother intervened to pull her stepfather off her. The incident was reported at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the home on Burton Street, said the 42-year-old victim, whose address is in Southington.
