Indicted on six counts

A Trumbull County grand jury Tuesday indicted Jonathan K. Smith, 37, of Fifth Avenue in Youngstown on two counts of aggravated robbery and single counts of kidnapping, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Smith is accused of robbing Boost Mobile, 5855 Youngstown Road in Niles on Dec. 23.

Police said he was wearing a stocking cap and holding a handgun when he ordered a store employee into the back room. He was tracked to the parking lot near the Howland Giant Eagle through an employee’s cellphone he’s accused of stealing and was arrested about an hour later.
