Man faces charges

WARREN

Drue A. Martin Jr. 50, of Cranwood Drive Southwest, is charged with felony domestic violence, driving under suspension and failure to control in Warren Municipal Court in a Saturday incident in which he’s accused of kidnapping a woman he knows from his Cranwood address, punching her and crashing her car.

Police were called at 6:13 p.m. Saturday regarding an argument involving he and the woman, then learned they had been in a car crash at Delaware Street Southwest.

When police arrived on Delaware, the 48-year-old victim of Niles, said Martin had hit her in the face and forced her into the car. She said she had head and neck pain from the crash and face pain from being punched.

Police said the side of her face was swollen and red. She was taken to St. Joseph Warren Hospital for treatment. Police located and arrested Martin after being advised to look for him on Commerce Street Northwest.
