Phantoms split series with Musketeers


SIOUX CITY, IOWA

Matthew Barry scored two goals as the Youngstown Phantoms defeated the Sioux City Musketeers, 4-2, on Saturday.

Tommy Parrottino and Michael Regush scored the other goals. Barry assisted on Parrottino’s goal for a three-point game.

Goaltender Wouter Peeters stopped 27 shots in the victory that lifts the Phantoms (19-15-4-1, 43 points) into a second-place tie place with Dubuque in the USHL’s Eastern Conference.

The Phantoms will play at the Covelli Centre on Tuesday against the Central Illinois Flying Aces.
