BOARDMAN

Boardman Schools Fund for Educational Excellence will host its third annual reverse raffle dinner at 6 p.m. March 9 at the Holiday Inn on South Avenue, Boardman.

There will be a series of cash prizes given away throughout the evening. The final ticket drawn at the end of the evening will be worth $2,000.

Since 2009, BSFEE, a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, has awarded approximately $58,000 in grant projects to deserving teachers. Last year’s event helped fund eight mini-grants that will be in place this year.

The items to be purchased include a virtual reality mobile lab for science and history classes at Glenwood Middle School, a teleprompter for BSTN video production, a spectrophotometer for AP chemistry and science classes and STEM stations with manipulatives for elementary grades.

Tickets are $50. Contact the superintendant’s office at 330-726-3404 by Friday to purchase tickets.
