Man arrested in death of Warren woman

COLUMBUS

Police here said a SWAT team Thursday arrested a suspect in the slaying of a 24-year-old Warren woman last month.

A news release identified the suspect as Anthony Pardon, 53. The release said more charges will follow. He is jailed in Columbus on a $5 million bond. Columbus authorities said Rachael Anderson had been tortured. Officials said they have DNA evidence linking him to the crime.

Pardon is charged with the death of Anderson, who was found dead Jan. 29 in her apartment after police were called there because co-workers were worried because she did not show up for work. Earlier this week, the Franklin County coroner ruled Anderson died of asphyxiation.
