Brittany Rothbauer v Andrew Whitmer
YOUNGSTOWN
Brittany Rothbauer and Andrew Whitmer, both of Boardman, exchanged marriage vows July 1, 2017, at St. Christine Church. The ceremony was solemnized by the Rev. John Keehner. A reception followed at The Embassy in Youngstown.
The parents of the bride are Eric and Rosemary Rothbauer of Boardman. The groom is a son of Eric and Lyn Whitmer of Mineral Ridge.
The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and reside in Boardman.
Mrs. Whitmer earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Mount Union in Alliance. She teaches third grade for Western Reserve Local Schools.
Mr. Whitmer earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Youngstown State University. He is a ninth- and 10th-grade English teacher as well as a football coach for Western Reserve Local Schools in Berlin Center. He also served in the U.S. Army.
The bride wore a strapless ivory lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a rhinestone belt. Her ensemble was completed by a floor-length veil.
Courtney Rothbauer, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Honor attendants, wearing light pink dresses, included Lea Whitmer and Megan Rubenstal, sisters of the groom; Megan Kun, cousin of the bride; Gina Brown; Chelsea Lonsway; Alyssa Rich; Krista Rubosky; and Allysia Tubbs.
The flower girl was Jeana Rubenstal, the groom’s niece.
Adam Keck was best man. The groomsmen were Jared and Matthew Rothbauer, the bride’s brothers; Frank Bufano; Matt Lemley; Josh Lough; Steve Matthews; Adam Semchee; and Brad Ward.
Austin Ward, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
