METRO DIGEST || Man pleads guilty

YOUNGSTOWN

A Canfield man accused of rape pleaded guilty Wednesday to inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl.

Ronald Miller, 37, of Salem Warren Road, pleaded guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court before Judge Maureen A. Sweeney. He will be sentenced at a later date.

An October 2016 indictment charged him with one count of rape.

Prosecutors said the victim and her mother have since moved out of state, and they approved of the plea agreement. Miller has no prior criminal record. The terms of the agreement will require him to register as a sex offender.
