Mahoning auditor Meacham will seek second four-year term

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County Auditor Ralph Meacham will file later today for re-election to a second four-year term.

Meacham is the only elected Republican countywide executive officeholder. He defeated then-incumbent Auditor Michael V. Sciortino in the 2014 race for county auditor.

Democrat Brandon Kovach, who unsuccessfully ran for Columbiana County auditor four year ago, said he is filing to challenge Meacham in the November general election.

Wednesday is the filing deadline for the primary election.
