Tri-County Heart Ball will take place at the Metroplex

The American Heart Association is announcing Andrew D. Thompson, partner and vice president of Thompson Insurance Group, as chairman of the 2018 Tri-County Heart Ball that will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Metroplex Expo Center, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.

Thompson Private Client Services, a subsidiary of Thompson Insurance Group, is the signature sponsor of the 2018 Tri-County Heart Ball, contributing $30,000 to the cause. This year’s theme is “Red Party.” Thompson said, “We truly believe in and support the mission of the American Heart Association, and hope it is the most successful Heart Ball to date.”

AHA is devoted to saving people from heart disease and stroke. They team with millions of volunteers to fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies and provide lifesaving tools and information to prevent and treat the diseases.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support cardiovascular research, professional and public education, school site programs and advocacy efforts throughout the year. The goal is $285,000, and the event features dinner, dancing, live entertainment, an auction and more.
