Fraud: A fraudulent credit card was reportedly used for a purchase order at a business in the 200 block of Victoria Road.

Jan. 19

Arrest: A traffic stop near North Meridian Road led to Marco D. Hammond Jr.’s arrest. Hammond, 30, of Duncan Lane, Youngstown, was accused of failing to appear in Youngstown Municipal Court on an endangering-children charge.

Theft by deception: A Nassau Court resident reported having been a victim of a scam, though the report contained no details.

Arrest: Authorities picked up Christopher S. Giles, 42, as he walked on Kirk Road. Giles, who listed Austintown addresses on Collins Avenue and Plumbrook Drive, was wanted on a Boardman warrant charging aggravated menacing.

Theft: Rose M. Fusco, 39, of North 15th Street, Sebring, was charged, accused of knowingly failing to self-scan $100 worth of items, including assorted clothing and tools, while at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Jan. 20

Theft: Niki M. Lanam, 28, of North Hazelwood Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with intentionally failing to scan about $233 worth of merchandise that included children’s toys and clothing while at Walmart.

Drug paraphernalia: While conducting a welfare check to a man in a vehicle near his Compass West Drive apartment, police charged Jason N. Dirocco, 26, with possessing drug paraphernalia. The Austintown man had a suspected crack-cocaine pipe in the car, a report stated.

Theft: Hubbard police handed to Austintown authorities Billy F. Odem Sr., 44, of Edgar Avenue, Youngstown, who was accused of obtaining from Walmart about $96 worth of merchandise via deceptive means.

Jan. 21

Arrests: While dealing with a large fight at a Mahoning Avenue establishment, authorities charged Donald A. Ellashek, 37, of Westgate Boulevard, Austintown, with disorderly conduct after saying Ellashek enticed others into the fight and made several threats. Also taken into custody was Patrick J. McNamara, 48, of Edinburgh Drive, Austintown, on charges of assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an officer alleged having seen McNamara, who refused to cooperate with police, kick a man in his face and torso area.

Identity theft: A Marcia Drive resident discovered personal information was used to open an unauthorized satellite-TV account.

Jan. 22

Citation: After pulling him over near Aldrich Drive, officers handed a minor-misdemeanor citation to Floyd K. Sims of Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, charging Sims, 21, with marijuana possession.
