The Canfield swim and dive team celebrated Senior Night on Jan. 17 with a win over Alliance.

Canfield senior team members Cullen Brady, Kamran Sarac and Zac Sine will be graduating this year. A dinner in their honor took place after the meet at AngeNetta’s in Canfield.

In the boys’ 200-yard freestyle, Rob DiDomenico placed second and Joe Klepec placed third. Senior Kam Sarac placed first in the 200 individual medley and Matthew Peckman was second. Senior Cullen Brady earned first place in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. Jason Paris was second in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. Nicholas Colonna placed third in the 50-yard freestyle. In the boys’ 100-yard butterfly, Bobby Kutsch earned first, Matthew Peckman placed second and James Dietz came in third. C. Fritz earned first place in the 100-yard freestyle and Kam Sarac placed second in the 500-yard freestyle. The 100-yard breaststroke race resulted with Klepec in first and Schaab in second.

On the girls side, Mackenzie Durham earned first place in the 200-yard freestyle and Lexi Gonda was second. In the 50-yard freestyle race, Theresa Wasylychyn was second and Jordan Helmick was third. Lilliana Best was first in diving and Miranda Peckman placed first in the 100-yard butterfly. Sydney Schuler earned first place in both the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke. Wasylychyn earned second in the 100-yard freestyle while Durham placed third. Helmick came in first place in the 500-yard freestyle and Isabella Kelty placed second. In the 100-yard backstroke, Kelty came in second and Peckman placed third. Kristin Shelley earned second in the breaststroke. In relays, the Canfield A team girls and boys won first place in the 200 medley relay, the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay. The Canfield B boys relay team won second in both the medley relay and 200 free relay. The Canfield B girls 200 free relay team also won second place.
