YOUNGSTOWN

A Campbell man found overdosed in his car Wednesday afternoon was arrested on a charge of possession of drug abuse instruments.

Police were called about 4:05 p.m. to a home in the first block of North Whitney Avenue on the West Side and someone there said the victim was in a car on Weaver Avenue. There, officers found Joshua Maldonado, 30, who was incoherent and clutching a needle in his hands, reports said.

Reports said Maldonado told police he was a drug user and had taken drugs Wednesday. His arm was also covered with needle tracks, reports said.

Maldonado refused a trip to a hospital after being examined by paramedics and was booked into the Mahoning County jail.
