Kwanzaa celebrations
youngstown: Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 505 Parkcliff Ave., will host a Kwanzaa celebration at 3 p.m. Sunday, featuring ministerial interpretations of the Nguzo Saba, music, choirs and cultural expression.
YOUNGSTOWN: Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 328 S. Forest St., will host a Kwanzaa celebration for area churches at 4 p.m. Sunday. There will be singing, miming, reading and praise dancing. The church also will have a community New Year’s Eve service at 10 p.m. Monday.

Emancipation Proclamation Service

Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, will host the annual Community Emancipation Proclamation and Installation of Officers Service at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The guest speaker will be Rev. Dr. Otis Moss Jr., pastor emeritus of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, Cleveland.
At this service, the Rev. Elizabeth Powell Heritage Award will be presented to the 2019 recipient, Rev. Kenneth L. Simon, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church and chairman of the Community Mobilization Coalition.
‘Is There a G-D?’ ecumenical inquiry
