League celebrates Christmas, plans luncheon

Members of the League of Women Voters of Trumbull County recently celebrated the Christmas season together with a brunch at the Woman’s Club of Warren. The Christmas party replaces the board meeting and the general members meeting combining both to a gathering. The brunch was provided by the board.

The league collected breakfast items and canned goods for military families and veterans. All donations were given to Becky Andres, who is head of the USO Distribution Center in Howland.

Plans also were finalized for the annual Public Officials Luncheon to take place Jan. 19 at Cafe 422. Members were asked to donate baskets for this event.

Regular meetings will resume in February and will take place on the fourth Monday of the month at various locations throughout the county.
