Women’s Connection to meet Jan. 9

Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will host a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road.

The event will feature Young Living essential oils with Selina Tate and music by Karen Burkhart, who will be the guest speaker. Her talk will be “Breaking Up with Approval Seeking.”

Cost is $14, which includes lunch.

Aut Mori Grotto will host installation

YOUNGSTOWN

Members of the Aut Mori Grotto are inviting the public to an open installation of its 2019 officers from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 12, at the Grotto hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave. Ed Shawver, PGM and installing officer, and the Highland Installation Team, will host the ceremony. Dale E. Hawkins is the monarch-elect.

A meal and cocktails will be served upon completion of the ceremony and the evening will continue with music and dancing. DJ Stevie B will host.

Cost is $20 per person. Anyone interested in attending must respond by calling or texting 330-853-4263 before Jan. 4.

UAW Local 1112 donates to YBP

UAW Local No. 1112 recently donated $1,967 to Yellow Brick Place.

The funds were raised by selling T-shirts in October during the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Drive.
