Winter Night Hike
When: Today, 7 to 9 p.m.
What: Celebrate one of the longest nights of the year by joining us for a walk through the woods under a full moon. A self-guided luminary walk and a guided night hike are available to participants of all ages. Upon return to the visitor’s center, warm up with hot beverages and a crackling fire.

When: Today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What: The 2019 Nature Photography Exhibit will be displayed from Jan. 19 to March 24 in the Weller Gallery of the Davis Education & Visitor Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Original photos accepted for: Wild Animals, Wild Scenes, Plants – Wild or Not, Nature with a Human Touch, Mill Creek MetroParks Scenes, Monochrome, and Young Photographers.

Winter Scavenger Hunt
When: Wednesday- Dec. 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What: Enjoy a winter scavenger hunt with the family. Stop by Ford Nature Center to pick up your list, then go outside to track down nature’s hidden treasures.

Picture Perfect
When: Jan. 20, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
What: The nature center’s photo contest organizer and a photography judge will give you the basic information, tips and tricks to entering photos in local photography shows.

Starting Seeds
When: Jan. 28, 9:30 a.m. to noon
What: A good start to life is key to the success of any plant, so join us to learn how to start those seeds with Peg Zeleznik, master gardener volunteer.
Where: OSU Mahoning County Extension Office, 490 S. Broad St. Canfield.
Cost: $15 per person includes refreshments, handouts and giveaways.
