Open house

Niles

Western Reserve Fish & Game Association, 1058 W. Third St., will have an open house for youths, parents and guardians from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The event is free, and lunch will be provided. Activities will include archery, crossbow, air rifles and pistols, dart throwing and some game-style surprises.

Parents are encouraged to participate. Kids can bring their own equipment, but the club has all that they will need for a day of fun and education.

Lowellville gun show

Lowellville

The Mahoning Valley Gun Collectors will have a winter gun from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 29 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 30 at Lowellville Rod and Gun, 6225 Quarry Road.

Admission is $5. The public is invited to buy, sell and trade guns, knives and military collectibles.

All firearms must be unloaded and are subject to inspection before entering. For more information, call 330-506-9194.

Concealed carry

Salem

The Salem Hunting Club, 549 N. Indiana Ave., offers one-day concealed-carry classes on a monthly basis year-round. The next class is Jan. 12.

The classes are ideal for students with any level of experience. Cost is $85.
