YSU football adds two more players

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State’s football team picked two more athletes during the early signing period on Thursday.

Dayln Brickner of Beaver Falls, Pa. is the second two-sport athlete on the Penguins’ roster. Brickner will play wide receiver for the football team and outfield for the baseball team. Current Penguin wideout Zach Farrar as a similar arrangement.

Jordan Velez is the third offensive lineman the team has brought in from ASA College in Brooklyn, N.Y. Last year, the team brought in offensive tackles Charles Baldwin and Henry Yoboue and the former started at right tackle for the Penguins. Velez is a Kenilworth, N.J. native.
