YSU women can't finish comeback vs. Bucknell
LEWISBURG, Pa.
The Youngstown State women’s basketball team cut a 19-point deficit down to four three different times in the fourth period but could never catch Bucknell in a 73-68 loss to the Bison on Tuesday at the Sojka Pavilion.
The Bison (9-2) took a 17-point lead heading into the fourth.
The Penguins cut the lead to 70-66 and 72-68 in the final 15 seconds.
Sarah Cash scored a team-high 18 points, and Chelsea Olson posted 15 points and 10 rebounds for YSU. Melinda Trimmer had a career-best nine assists without a turnover and scored six points.
