The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy has designated Mercy Health Foundation a 2018 High Performer for the third year in a row.

Mercy Health Foundation, among 64 organizations throughout the United States and Canada to earn the High Performer designation, is ranked in the top 25 percent based on net fund raising returns for 2017 fiscal year results.

Mercy Health Foundation’s top performing net fund raising returns indicate that, compared to other health care , it raises significant funds from donors while maintaining low administrative costs, ensuring that the better part of each donation goes directly to patient and community programs.

Healthy eating program planned

“Healthy Eating for You,” a free program sponsored by Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley and led by a registered dietitian, addresses portion size, reading and understanding nutrition labels, and learning to eat mindfully.

The program is from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 9, 2019,SClB at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, 8401 Market St. To register, call 330-480-3070.

New resuscitation curriculum developed

WASHINGTON, D.C.

The American Red Cross has developed a new resuscitation curriculum to provide healthcare professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to improve resuscitation outcomes.

The Red Cross curriculum is offered to healthcare organizations nationwide beginning in January of 2019 in HealthStream’s marketplace and delivered through HealthStream’s platform.
