Youngstown

The Youngstown State men’s golf program has added transfer Zack Ford, head coach Tony Joy announced on Friday. Ford will be eligible to compete for the Penguins as a redshirt sophomore during the upcoming spring portion of the 2018-19 season, which is slated to begin March 8-9.

Ford, from Cochranton, Pa., spent the past two-plus seasons at East Tennessee State. As a freshman in 2016-17, he played in seven tournaments for the Bucs and posted a scoring average of 76.4. Ford competed in two events and six rounds this past fall, carding a low round of 74 in each of the final two rounds at the Rod Myers Invitational. He was twice named to the Southern Conference Honor Roll at ETSU.
