Gingerbread houses at Arms museum

YOUNGSTOWN

More than 50 entries in the second- annual gingerbread house competition are now on display at the Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave., as part of the Memories of Christmas Past holiday decor exhibition.

In the adult category, first place went to Corri Hileman, Jessi Yates and Theresa Olesky for their Twelve Days of Christmas House, which features a Leaping Lord and a Penguin in a Pear Tree. Second place went to Carol Sudzina for her church creation, while third place went to Emily Coelho’s log cabin.

In the youth category, first place went to Emilie Kolenich, second to Sophie Roelandts, and third to Gabe Bettross.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., and Thursdays from noon until 7 p.m. For information, go to mahoninghistory.org or call 330-743-2589.

Concert of Giving at Stambaugh

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Area Community Concert Band and the Stambaugh Chorus will present their eighth-annual Holiday Concert Of Giving at 4 p.m. Sunday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.

Cash and check donations of any amount will be collected at the door and all proceeds will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for the 90-minute concert.

No food items will be collected at this event.
