Walsh Ironman 2018

NORTH CANTON

Canfield’s wrestling team had two wrestlers place at the Walsh Ironman national wrestling tournament during the weekend. Anthony D’Alesio lost in the quarterfinals of the championship round, but battled his way through three consolation bouts to the third-place match, where he lost to Park Hill’s Devin Winston, 3-2. Ohio State commit Tyler Stein finished in eighth place after suffering injury in the seventh place match against Massilon Perry’s Jarin Curtis.

FOOTBALL

Two area coaches have been selected for the 2019 Ohio Football Coaches North South All-Star game, which will be held at Massillon’s Paul Brown Tiger Stadium on April 27. Springfield’s Sean Guerriero will be the head coach for the North IV-V-VI-VII team and LaBrae’s John Armeni will serve as an assistant.
