Jury selection starts in Pa. trial of 2 charged with killing DJ

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) — Jury selection is under way in Wilkes-Barre in the trial of two men charged with killing a popular disc jockey.

Roberto Battle and David Nealy are charged in the 2013 death of Michael Onley, who performed under the name DJ Mo and had rallied against gun violence.

The Wilkes-Barre Times Leader reports about one-third of the 100 potential jurors present were interviewed Monday.

Prosecutors allege Battle and Nealy killed Onley in a drive-by shooting after they had been kicked out of the bar earlier that night.

They were arrested in May 2017 after a federal inmate allegedly implicated them in the crime.
