Oakland auditions for ‘Flat Stanley’

Auditions for the local premiere of “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley,” presented by the Oakland Center for the Arts Kids First Initiative will take place Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Fellowship Church, 4749 South Ave. Performances will be at the church Feb. 8-10. The show requires a large cast of children and adults. For information, call 330-406-0606.

Steve Hofstetter coming to Calvin

YOUNGSTOWN

Comedian Steve Hofstetter will come to the Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., on April 13 for an 8 p.m. show. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Stevehofstetter.com or at brownpapertickets.com/event/3611364. This is an 18 and older show.

Hofstetter is known for his YouTube videos, in which he confronts audience members who feel the need to talk during his standup act. These videos have been seen by more than 50 million people worldwide.

He can also be seen on ESPN and Fox sports for his sports commentary.

Hofstetter recently published his book “Ginger Kid,” which contains stories of his life as a child in New York City.
