No. 2 Kansas 63, New Mexico State 60
KANSAS CITY, MO.
Dedric Lawson had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 2 Kansas got past New Mexico State in the Jayhawk Shootout. The Aggies had a chance to tie it on a 3-pointer with 6 seconds to go, but JoJo Zamora’s attempt bounced off the rim and they didn’t get another look. Zamora scored 15 points. Ivan Aurrecoechea added 14 points and six assists, and Johnny McCants had 12 points and six rebounds. Marcus Garrett finished with 10 points for the Jayhawks.
No. 3 Duke 91, Yale 58
DURHAM, N.C.
Freshman RJ Barrett had 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and No. 3 Duke blew the game open in the second half to beat Yale. Fellow rookie Zion Williamson had 20 points for the Blue Devils, who led 41-32 at halftime but hit their first six shots after the break to finally stretch out the lead. Miye Oni had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs (4-3) before fouling out.
No. 5 Michigan 89, South Carolina 78
ANN ARBOR, MICH.
Jordan Poole scored 19 of his 26 points in the second half, and No. 5 Michigan remained unbeaten with a victory over South Carolina. Iggy Brazdeikis scored 17 points and Jon Teske added 15 for Michigan. Chris Silva led South Carolina with 18. Michigan went on a 13-2 run near the end of the first and led 42-36 at halftime.
No. 8 Auburn 82, Dayton 72
AUBURN, ALA.
Bryce Brown scored a career-high 34 points and made six 3-pointers to lead No. 8 Auburn to a victory over Dayton. Jared Harper had 20 points and seven assists for Auburn (8-1). Samir Doughty filled the stat sheet with eight points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Ryan Mikesell led Dayton with 15 points. Josh Cunningham scored 14 and Jalen Crutcher added 11.
Seton Hall 84, No. 9 Kentucky 83, OT
NEW YORK
Myles Cale hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 9.5 seconds left in overtime and Seton Hall overcame Keldon Johnson’s half-court heave that tied the score at the regulation buzzer, stunning No. 9 Kentucky in a thriller at Madison Square Garden. Myles Powell scored 25 of his 28 points after halftime for Seton Hall (6-3). PJ Washington had a career-high 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Kentucky.
No. 10 Michigan State 63, Florida 59
GAINESVILLE, FLA.
Kyle Aherns scored Michigan State’s final seven points, including a two-handed jam with 8.7 seconds remaining, and No. 10 Michigan beat Florida. Xavier Tillman led the Spartans (8-2) with 14 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Joshua Langford and Nick Ward added 13 points apiece for Michigan State, which finished with a season low in points. Andrew Nembhard and KeVaughn Allen led the Gators with 13 each.

Terance Mann scored 20 points, reserve David Nichols had 16 and No. 11 Florida State beat Connecticut in the second game of the Never Forget Tribute Classic. Mfiondu Kabengele added 15 points for Florida State (8-1), which has won three in a row. Christ Koumadje finished with seven points and 10 rebounds. Alterique Gilbert led UConn (7-3) with 24 points. Jalen Adams had 15, and Tarin Smith finished with 12 points.
Marquette 74, No. 12 Wisconsin 69, OT
MILWAUKEE
Markus Howard scored 27 points, freshman Joey Hauser added 15 and hit big, late-game shots and Marquette grinded out a win in overtime over No. 12 Wisconsin. Sam Hauser had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (8-2). But it was his little brother, Joey, scored four in the opening two minutes of overtime. Wisconsin wasted a terrific effort from Ethan Happ, who had 34 points on 16-of-21 shooting, along with 11 rebounds.
Tulsa 47, No. 16 Kansas State 46
TULSA, OKLA.
Martins Igbanu made a go-ahead jump hook with 1:51 remaining, and Tulsa edged No. 16 Kansas State. Curran Scott scored 14 points for Tulsa (7-3), and Igbanu had nine points and six rebounds. Kansas State had one last chance in the final seconds, but Barry Brown Jr. rimmed out a floater on a drive into the lane. Xavier Sneed had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.
No. 17 Buffalo 80, St. Bonaventure 62
OLEAN, N.Y.
Jayvon Graves hit a career-best five 3-pointers and scored 19 points, and No. 17 Buffalo remained undefeated with a win over St. Bonaventure. CJ Massinburg scored 14 points and added nine rebounds for Buffalo. Courtney Stockard scored 18 points and added six rebounds in just his fourth game since missing the first six with a knee injury for the Bonnies (4-6), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
No. 21 Villanova 70, Saint Joseph’s 58
VILLANOVA, PA.
Eric Paschall had 14 points and nine rebounds, and No. 21 Villanova beat Saint Joseph’s for its 25th straight Big 5 victory. Joe Cremo and Phil Booth scored 12 points apiece for the Wildcats (8-2). Jermaine Samuels added 11 points. Lamarr Kimble led Saint Joseph’s with 22 points.
No. 22 Mississippi State 81, Clemson 62
NEWARK, N.J.
Lamar Peters scored 28 points to lead No. 22 Mississippi State to a wire-to-wire win over Clemson in the first game of the Never Forget Tribute Classic. Quinndary Weatherspoon had 20 points for Mississippi State (8-1), which has won five straight. Clemson (6-3) got 23 points from Aamir Simms and 18 points from Elijah Thomas.
No. 23 Maryland 55, Loyola Chicago 41

Anthony Cowan scored 17 points and No. 23 Maryland overcame a sluggish start to beat Loyola of Chicago. Cowan became the 55th player in Maryland history to score 1,000 career points, hitting the milestone with a free throw in the first half. He has 1,010 for his career. Aaron Wiggins added 10 points for the Terrapins (8-2). Cameron Krutwig scored 12 points for the short-handed Ramblers (5-5), who have lost four of five.
No. 24 Nebraska 94, Creighton 75
LINCOLN, NEB.
James Palmer scored a season-high 30 points, Thomas Allen had a career-high 18 and No. 24 Nebraska beat Creighton, ending a seven-game losing streak to its in-state rival. Creighton’s Mitch Ballock made his first six shots finished 7 for 10 from long range with 23 points. Isaiah Roby had 15 points and eight rebounds. Davion Mintz had 13 of his 15 points in the second half and Ty-Shon Alexander scored 10 for Creighton (6-3).
No. 25 Furman 74, USC Upstate 60
SPARTANBURG, S.C.
Jordan Lyons had 20 points and Noah Gurley added 15 points and six rebounds to lead No. 25 Furman to a win over South Carolina Upstate. Southern Conference Player of the Month Matt Rafferty finished with 11 points after scoring just two in the first half. Malik Moore led the Spartans with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
WOMEN
No. 1 UConn 99, Seton Hall 61
HARTFORD, CONN.
Katie Lou Samuelson scored 26 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead UConn to an easy win over former Big East rival Seton Hall. Napheesa Collier had 18 points and Crystal Dangerfield scored 16 for Connecticut (9-0). Freshmen Chrisyn Williams (15 points) and Olivia Nelson-Ododa (13) also reached double figures. Nicole Jimenez had 23 points for Seton Hall.
No. 2 Notre Dame 72, Toledo 56
TOLEDO
Arike Ogunbowale scored 22 points as No. 2 Notre Dame topped Toledo, bouncing back after its loss to Connecticut last weekend. Jessica Shepard scored 16 points and had eight rebounds. Jackie Young had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Irish (8-1), who pulled away after leading by six points at halftime. Mikaela Boyd scored 15 points for Toledo. Mariella Santucci and Kaayla McIntyre each added 10 points.
No. 7 Maryland 87, James Madison 63
COLLEGE PARK, MD.
Brianna Fraser scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, leading No. 7 Maryland past James Madison. Kaila Charles also had 24 points with nine rebounds for the Terrapins (9-0), who never trailed in the game. Taylor Mikesell made four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points. Kamiah Smalls finished with 18 points for the Dukes. Freshman guard Madison Green finished with 17 points.
