Sheely’s collecting donations, toys

Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance is thanking the local community for supporting its 2018 Toys for Tots drive. Beginning in October, Sheely’s began collecting monetary donations along with unwrapped toys. They were able to donate and match the contributions, totaling more than $4,700 in gifts. The store will continue to collect toys and money through Dec 24.
Coaches to donate to United Way
The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley is sponsoring Dine United with Coaches Burger Bar. Coaches will donate a quarter for every burger sold at all locations throughout December. Locations include: 708 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman; 3032 Center Road, Poland; 5529 Mahoning Ave., Austintown; and 635 East State St., Salem.
Boar’s Head Festival

St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., recently announced that tickets are now on sale for the 58th annual Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival, which will take place at 1:30 and 4 p.m. Jan. 6. Performance seat tickets are $10 each. Dinner tickets with preferred performance seating are $25 each. Tickets may be purchased online at www.stjohnohio.org; in the church office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday or 9 a.m. to noon Fridays; or by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the church, “Attn: Boar’s Head.” Include a note indicating performance time and phone number and make the check payable to “St. John’s Episcopal Church.”

Chamber announces contest winner
COLUMBIANA
The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2018 Holiday Window Display Contest winner as Crown Theater Productions. The display is located in the Main Street Theater and showcases an arrangement of holiday village displays. Erich Offenberg, Crown Theater Productions member, received the village display from his father, George Offenburg, who has been collecting for years. Receiving honorable mention were Once Again Kids and Best Western Plus Dutch Haus Inn & Suites.
