Incident on YSU campus sparks panic; suspect surrenders
YOUNGSTOWN An incident that may have involved a gun on campus led to a nearly two-hour lockdown Monday afternoon at Youngstown State University. Robert Allen, 19, now in the Mahoning County jail on unrelated charges, is the person of interest who surrendered to Youngstown State University police about two hours after the lockdown began. University President Jim Tressel gave thanks “to the folks who stepped up to the plate.”
