IN THE CUP! Area holes-in-one

Rick Kale aced the No. 7 hole at Mill Creek North Course. He used a 4 iron on the 172-yard course. Witnesses were Joe Meyers and Joe Catullo.

Joe Nigro of Boardman aced the No. 8 hole at Brookledge Golf Course in Cuyahoga Falls. He used a driver on the 217-yard hole. Witnesses were Bill Silvestri, Bill Metz and Vito Dilullo.

Pete DeSalvo of the Mount Carmel Society of Lowellville Golf League aced the No. 9 hole at Knoll Run. He used a 7 iron on the 145-yard hole. Witnesses were Jim Cimino and Terry Smearman.

Terry Balla aced the No. 4 hole at Avalon Lakes. He used a 4 iron on the 170-yard hole.

Tim Meehan aced the No. 5 hole at Mill Creek South Course. He used an 8 iron on the 124-yard shot. Witnesses were Mark Bretschneider and Patrick Divito.

Judge R. Scott Krichbaum aced the 155-yard No. 9 at The Lake Club on Aug. 22. He used an 8-iron for his fourth hole-in-one. Witnesses were Jim Phillips, Mike Bitcko and Ray DeMarco.

Barry Piper aced the 129-yard No. 17 at Mill Creek South on Aug. 18 during the Farmers National Bank Greatest Golfer of the Valley Championships. He used a pitching wedge. Witnesses were Kurt Beler and Mike Watson.
