Goose-hunt sign-up
Goose-hunt sign-up
CORTLAND
Local hunters have an opportunity to assist in reducing the goose population at Mosquito Lake State Park during early open goose season this year. A total of nine blinds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis by signing up on the sheet posted on the park office door, beginning Sept. 4.
Increased populations of geese in the park have negatively impacted the beach and marina areas, as well as increased complaints by park visitors. Interested applicants should call the park office at 330-637-2856 for details.
