Celebrity stylist to return to salon

New York-based celebrity hairstylist Mia Santiago, a Youngstown native, will return to Magnolias on the Green salon, 79 N. Broad St., on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

Santiago, a 1998 graduate of Ursuline High School and Casal Aveda Institute in Austintown, made her first appearance at Magnolias in mid-July and is returning every six to eight weeks to style clients’ hair.

Santiago (formerly Melissa Meyers) has been based at the famed Sally Hershberger salons in New York since 2008. The list of celebrities whose hair she has styled includes Mariska Hargitay, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Neil Patrick Harris, Cecily Strong and Louis Black.

“I really had a wonderful time working at Magnolias,” she said of her first visit.

“The staff was super inviting ...and the clients were equally as fantastic and were excited to have me do their hair and ask questions about new styles, and what would be best to change their look.”
