Art gallery seeks entries for show

Trumbull Art Gallery’s annual art exhibition will accept entries Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The gallery is at 158 N. Park Ave., downtown.

All work must be original, current (completed within the last three years), and never have been exhibited at the Trumbull Art Gallery.

The TAG Annual is a juried exhibition for regional artists. This year’s juror is Youngstown artist-sculptor Tony Armeni.

Benefit car show at the Sunrise Inn

A car show to benefit the Travis Mills Foundation will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sunrise Inn restaurant, 510 E. Market St.

Registration is $10 and begins at 10 a.m. for cars, motorcycles and trucks. For information, c all 330-392-5176.

The Travis Mills Foundation supports recalibrated veterans and their families through long-term programs that help them overcome physical obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide rest and relaxation.

Retired U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Travis Mills of the 82nd Airborne is a motivational speaker, actor, author and an advocate for veterans and amputees. He lost portions of both arms and legs from an explosion while on active duty in Afghanistan.

A River Rock at the Amp concert will follow the car show, featuring Kings Highway (tribute to Tom Petty), plus Invincible (Pat Benatar tribute) and Dead Flowers. Admission is $8. Gates open at 5 p.m.

The pledge-free content stream replaces typical fundraising talk breaks with more programming, and is accessible to sustaining members.
